The Delegation of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples in Granma County summons all the people of good will in the world to join us in the noble deed of achieving that the people of the United States get to know this injustice:

Along 12 years five Cubans are suffering from long and unjust condemnations in jails of the United States for the only crime of avoiding with their anonymous and disinterested work terrorist attacks which would have caused death and destruction to our people and the very North American one.

The legal process has gone for more than 10 years and justice has not still been made, even when not only the Court of Appeals of Atlanta but also the very Court of Miami that judged them have recognized that none of them caused damages to the national security of United States.

Many have been the legal violations and of the human rights they have suffered during this long time, from the unjustified solitary confinement in several occasions, up to the cruelest in the sanctions that is to deprive them of the sacred right of seeing their dearest relatives. Gerardo, one of these brave young men, had to silently stand the sadness for the death of his dear mother without being able to see her at the last moment of her life.

Many are the voices in the world that have united to this noble deed of demanding the liberation of these five brave young men, to what the Government of the United States has made deaf ears, but this battle is won al long as we can gather wills and receptive ears in all part of the planet. In these days, when Parliaments have assumed it as their right to incriminate us, five worthy Cubans continue prisoners for the only reason of defending their people from death. That’s why we ask you to continue the struggle so that justice and truth prevail
